Confirm identity of a member / User verification
On other sites, user identity is confirmed by requiring users to submit a photo of themselves holding a code number. This works well, and I suggest that it be used on this site also.
That gives other users confidence that they aren't being misled when they visit a user's profile.

Yes! Please add age/user verification on ferzu!

I think some verification is worthwhile, but there is a point when it goes too far. People need to be personally responsible for who they engage with online. There is plenty of warnings out there, we don't need nannies to make sure people who don't head those warnings are safe. We all take risks, you have to decide for yourself if you think those risks are worthwhile

Some kind of verification. That's what I miss. If you are the right person who say you are. :) Nice website.

The increase in photo manipulation tools (Photoshop, FaceTune, etc.) and monetization in weight gain (Patreon, OnlyFans, etc) has caused an influx of gainers who are taking advantage of the community space to amass personal, monetary gains while deceiving others. While the Grokio admins cannot police what actually happens on those other sites, they can verify that all users are recording their weight appropriately, including people who claim to be using that money for gains are actually gaining weight and are recording their weight appropriately. One potential way could be the addition of a verification system, similar to other social media platforms, such as Twitter. On a site level, this would only require the addition of a symbol similar to the follow/following star next to a user's weight. On a community level, weights could be verified at any grommoffs/BRW/The Grom, anywhere where a Grommr admin may be present, or a video could be sent to an admin by multiple users. Verification will have no affect on user experience, but can hopefully provide a special moment for gainers crossing weight thresholds, provide a sense of accomplishment for those able to gain that weight (such as the Butter Queen contest at BRW 2018), and encourage participation of some gainers to interact with the community at these events.

Requiring a form of identification to prove age. Almost everyone joining the past few days is listing themselves as 18. Some have already admitted to being underage, and some of them are listing dates that are VERY suspicious in their profile pointing to them being most likely underage.

I think it would be great to be able to verify that we are really 18+ by sending a photo of our ID card and then getting a tag or something in our profile saying that we are 18+ verified. Someone has just thought I was underaged just because I told him that I'm still living with my parents, so I think it would avoid people judging about our age if we had an optional option to verify our age.

It would also cut down the amount of people using the website by at least half.

Ferzu really needs a way better age verification system, there are just way to many minors on this site.

ID verification is probably the most fool-proof solution to this problem, a good chunk of Ferzu users are asking for it. It would bring the minors and trolls to a halt.

We need this feature. I was personally exploited as a result of not having this feature. I can see this feedback started in 2015 it's now 2019. That's insane! How are you gathering feedback for this....

It's seriously simple. Ask for video of a person holding their ID for age verification. Furry.one did it, it was super simple to go through. Got verified in less than a day. Minors will not gain access to ferzu if you don't enable the privilege without prior age verification. Just fucking do it.

Start asking for IDs. Do the same as furry.one, and ask for a video showing the user's face and their ID. If they can't, they get the boot. It's not hard. I don't know of a more efficient method than that to determine the age of new users. It makes plenty of sense. Really, what IS the problem? Do you want minors on this website? haphazardly getting into trouble because of your negligence? Someone could probably get this site taken down over these recent sightings of minors admitting they're underage. You need to stop people from getting access to this site without age verification, like right the fuck now. People are already migrating to furry.one. It'd be a shame if you didn't try to fix this problem.

I'm really sad to see that this was posed in 2016 and still hasn't been implemented. Changes don't happen fast do they :/

Idea: a verification option for users and further option to only receive 'cold' messages from other verified users - this would perhaps deter fakes from joining.

Require identification for new accounts much like Furry.one does.

Private verification with either government identification or even just a picture with your profile name on it.

Serious_Gainer commented
Offer ID verification and then offer an option so that we will only see accounts belonging to other ID verified members. These would be members who have sent you a photo of themselves holding their current ID and a piece of paper on which they have written the current date and their signature.
