Confirm identity of a member / User verification
On other sites, user identity is confirmed by requiring users to submit a photo of themselves holding a code number. This works well, and I suggest that it be used on this site also.
That gives other users confidence that they aren't being misled when they visit a user's profile.

This gets dangerous, guys are going to rate all the profiles of girls that reject them as fake

There should be a standard protocol, posted prominently by grommr, for interacting with a user who could be underage. This would at least help prevent people on this site from putting themselves in legal jeopardy. For instance, grommr could make a form to request that another user's age be verified. Grommr could also make it clear to younger users that they should expect to have to verify their age. That way there is no hesitation from both sides. Age verification should be like carding someone who orders alcohol - just standard procedure.

Vertify profile with a photo of their face being clear and their username written on a piece of paper. Must be clear and visible.

Mandatory private verification photo, utilised like bumble - so that only genuine people are on; or that get a 'verified' tag (again, like bumble) because the amount of fakes/catfish/scammers is outrageous. It is poison to the community.

A few thoughts... This could be optional with a logo or flag to indicate which is verified.
Secondly... Surely some filtering or checking can be done based on users i.p. Addresses... Multiple profiles set up or accessed from the same i.p. Address might be an indicator of a fake profile -

I was instructed to put this on the Grokio forums to see what others thought of my idea. I want to share a possible idea - For what it is worth.
With all of the public announcements made from the administration as to what and how could be done to improve a better Ferzu experience for those of it's users, I thought of something - That might be worth considering, as I am also asking the publics opinion.
I'll accept constructive criticism, but nothing more.
This is what I was thinking: What if - Now, just hear me out, here -
(What if)
Upon signing up and registering for Ferzu that in order to be fully registered, (or joined) that it requires a pending request for approval to be made to authenticize a new user's account -
One must upload a photo of one's self (That won't be shown to public, just for record's sake) and upon the approval of the self photo provided it's authentic, is immediately deleted the moment it is accepted before actually accessing one's account just to verify the user is real and has no intent on spamming new accounts or otherwise causing disruption.
I do understand that it would be a lot of work for the administration to approve each and every request.
Maybe in the long run of the possible idea, that the administration could perhaps expand it's team?
That is - If any one is serious about putting in the amount of required efforts to help better a possible Ferzu experience for those of it's users.
Maybe it would help cut back on anyone who is not of legal age for the use of Ferzu, provided the self photo and some form of legal documentation verifying age.
(AGAIN - This is all for record's sake and not visible to the public.)
And for those who would dare to say what if I do not want my personal information shared - What...? A picture of what you look like and your age..?
That's for the administration's rights and use only.

It is REALLY needed. Far too many fakes on this site. I can not believe that this idea has been here for 6.5 years and has close to 600 votes and it has not been implemented. Time to push the site owners to take action after SIX AND A HALF YEARS of gathering feedback and implement this. How much more delay and feedback is needed?
It does NOT have to be a mandatory feature. Other sites allow both verified and UNverified profiles. It just gives the real verified person the choice of who to trust with so many fakes out there.
If someone goes through the trouble of taking a photo (does not even have to include face, just a HANDWRITTEN piece of paper with the username and site name on it next to a part of the body shown in profile pictures, eg. belly, chest) - that is what one site DN does. That protects their face of the person from being recognized if the photo is stolen and posted elsewhere. The photo could even be restricted/locked from general view so only admin can see it.
As for some people NOT BEING ABLE TO TAKE THEY TYPE OF PHOTO for verification... that is just a bull*** excuse. Almost every single person in this world has access to a camera in a smartphone or other device, and the photo can be deleted immediately after being submitted to the site.
The only ones who will not be willing to take a non-face picture, holding a handwritten sign with their username and site name next to their chest or belly ARE THOSE WHO ARE FAKE.
With such a widespread proliferation of fakes, this needs a high priority implementation. Six and a half years and close to six hundred votes CLEARLY TELLS the site owners that users want it.

Hello there!
I have an idea. It might have already been suggested before, but. I feel everyone needs to prove that they are who they say they are. I feel they need to write their name on a piece of paper and all members should show themselves any grey photos should meet the requirements it would make the members feel reassured.

Age verification system:
Since asking to verify age upon joining would probably deter many people from joining, what about a system where you can opt to verify age and if you have proof of age you get something on your profile that says "Age verified." It would give a lot of members peace with who to trust, especially considering a lot of people on here get sexual with users. -

"Verify Profile" feature like on Lovoo. With members needing to take a picture if themselves with a certain code written on a piece of paper to confirm their identity.

I personally think to stop the fakery, attacking this beautiful forum. Maybe that all members should have a least 3 pictures, and minimum word limit on the profile. My finale idea is that everyone should take a picture with their name written down within the picture to prove it's them. To stop people stealing other people's pictures?

Surprising that this still hasn't been implemented. I wonder why. If it's because of the reason Rory Foster suggested - that it would deter members - it wouldn't have to be a mandatory feature. It isn't on other sites - it usually just means that unverified members have greater restrictions (can't view all content etc). I think this would be welcomed even if there were zero additional restrictions on unverified members - it's still worth doing just for the sake of having a "verified" or "unverified" badge on the profile. That way, unverified members could still do want they wanted, therefore not putting off genuine members who just don't have the time or energy to verify themselves, while still giving other members the choice as to whether they want to risk interacting with potential catfish - currently we don't have that choice, everyone is a potential catfish, except for those who have made verification photographs of their own volition.

I've been burned so many times. It would be great if you had a system where the person needed to send you a picture with a piece of paper/sign with the website's name. Everyone has a camera in their phone and I don't think it's too much to ask. Please consider this. I know all of the true members would be fine doing something like this
